China is one of the earliest countries in the world to invent and apply bearings,  today let's talk about the bearings development in China.

Our ancestors have manufactured and applied bearings in various forms.

According to cultural relics investigations and literature, as early as in the Xia and Shang dynasties(2100 B.C. to 1700 B.C.), the chariot has been invented in China and sliding bearings have been applied to it.

During the Zhou Dynasty(771 B.C. to 476 B.C.), the technology of using animal oil for bearing lubrication was invented.

During the Warring States period, metal was used to make bearing bushes.

Guo Shoujing, a scientist in the Yuan Dynasty(the Year 1279 to 1368), invented the technology of slewing bearing (slewing rings) for astronomical equipment.
One of the equipment called"abridged armilla". It is equipped with 4 cylindrical rollers to reduce friction, similar to current cylindrical roller bearing technology.

In the late Qing Dynasty, there was a cylindrical roller bearing with a structure as current bearings. During the Republic of China, China began mass production of bearings. Two major bearing production bases are established in WaFangdian and Shanghai. After the founding of New China, China's industry developed rapidly.
