The Advantages and Features of INA Crossed Roller Bearings

Crossed roller bearings become more and more popular these years, because they have many advantages compared to common type bearings.The arrangesments of rolling elements

1. The arrangements of rolling elements

The rolling elements of common bearings are either steel balls or rollers. The rolling elements of ball bearings are in point contact with bearings raceway, while that of roller bearings are in line contact with bearings raceway.

Compared with ball bearings, SX crossed roller bearings cylindrical rollers are placed on the V shape groove. So they are in line contact with raceway, and have higher load carrying capacity.
Compared with common type roller bearings, INA SX crossed roller bearing rolling elements are in an "X" arrangement with each other on the raceway. So they can support loads from multiple directions, while common roller bearings can only withstand loads from radial direction. Therefore, one SX cross roller bearing can replace two common bearings.
